Plan that your plans are never gonna go as planned and then you’re never gonna be disappointed. I think that is my main takeaway for today, because this week is meant to be all about implementing and there’s not a lot of that happening so far this week, I got distracted the ol’shiny object again, shiny objects!.. with the anchor podcast platform announcing this sponsorship stuff that they’ve got out there. And then I've got this opportunity at home where I can get some earthmoving done out the back of the house to make it actually kid friendly for summer which is something that you want in Australia where snakes are deadly. I think you gotta be, you gotta be able to, you gotta be able to have little pivots within your big pivot you gotta be able to shift you gotta be able to change plans. That's why I think the ‘if this, then that’ schedule works quite well however I'll be going to get stuff done over the next couple of days.

A busy day, just back from the zoo today. I just wanted to talk about a bit of a sideline to my positive mindset stuff. I don't think there's anything quite more positive than being productive and creating and doing your own work and getting ahead and moving towards your goals. last week I got a bit distracted with a black-and-white photography challenge and you know that’s great it’s fun, but the problem is I don’t really have any time to do that kinda stuff, but there's another challenge which has come to my attention is Michael Warth’s has done a #7MinDrawingChallenge which aligns perfectly with what I'm trying to do, get a page of a kids book out each day. So if I can illustrate that within seven minutes and then colour it out over the following day then, you know, I'm getting stuff done every day I'm feeling good about it because I’m actually producing some work and so if you can add any of those challenges or even make up your own challenge and see if anyone else wants to join in it's a great way of getting some accountability on getting meeting your goals. #NoSmallCreator #ForkInTheRoad

I've kind of discovered that goal setting is a little bit like saving... you know it’s pretty boring it's not as interesting as winning the lottery. Everyone wants to win the lottery and we only tend to hear the stories about people who win the lottery. We don't hear the stories about the people who saved five dollars a day for 15 years and attained a good level of comfort from doing so. You don't hear those kinds of stories. But I think that is the sustainable way I think it's the only way over time every little bit every day you've got a build body of work, you've got to not feel guilty about inserting levels of monetisation in to that so you can start to get something back so you can start doing more and start building towards that successful career.

Rather than getting depressed or getting bogged down or getting fixed on the struggles and living your struggles. I think it's good to be able to try and embrace them and see what good can come out of them, see what those struggles can teach you and make you a better person in the long run and turn those struggles into superpowers. If I can focus on those strengths then I might be able to get a head a bit. I might be able to have a chance at my career pivot experiment,building a successful career doing something that I love, I certainly hope that I can. If you're struggling with anything please hop over onto the all humans struggle Facebook group and share with everyone there, it’s a very supportive community. And of course if you're struggling with any mental health issues - I'm not quite sure which services are available in your country - but really take people up on their services. I did and I find it really helps to talk these things out with people. #AllHumansStruggle #NoSmallCreator

I guess what my ‘Why’ is, is I wanna help creators like me, and I wanna help me too, in the true definition of self-help I gotta get myself ‘Unstuck’, to get out there and start creating and telling stories and getting paid for it, yes paid for it, earn a living that’s my dream. Because ‘The gatekeepers’ the publishers, producers and studios no longer have the power. We can create whatever we want right now just with our phones. Which is really scary because the excuses don’t exist anymore. And that means only thing stopping me, is me. #StartWithWhy #NoSmallCreator

I’m on my lunch break from some serious earthmoving. So I think what I’ve learnt this week is if you want to implement something don't tell anyone that you're implementing anything because you, no doubt, will not be able to implement it because sometimes accountability isn't helpful and sometimes the pressure can choke you up. Another day of earthmoving today, another day that I can't get to my stuff. It’s probably gonna be like that for the next few days. It feels a bit frustrating but you know, I think I just need to get over that and push through because it's just a short space in time. And it’s all a matter of working with my values in mind, with my number one value being my family.

My short term daily goals, part two. This whole kids book idea, where is it? what's happening? what's going on with that? I keep talking about it, well the thing is I want to get this vlog, blog and podcast all up, all happening, all running smoothly first so that as soon as I start to stretch myself and going into illustrating a page of a kids book, one page every day, which is what I'm hoping to do because I want to get a whole series of books out. I want to get it out quickly, and the reason I want to get it out quickly aligns with a separate ‘Why’ altogether which I will explain later. Because I don't wanna, I don't need to be creating artworks. I just want to be creating something which is good, entertaining and fun but with a message as well and that's where the ‘Why’ comes in. And so, I'm looking at doing this page a day I'm gonna upload to Instagram stories and into my Twitter feed one a day starting November 1.
