Didgeridoo Fest is a celebration of one of the world’s oldest ceremonial instruments : Approx. 100,000 years ago Humankind was able to evolve beyond their basic instincts of EATING, MATING & SURVIVAL and begun contemplating the great enigmas of life: During this time frame Archeologists found copious evidence of RITUALS, BURIALS & MYTHS. The first instrument was the human voice, this was followed by the drum or the banging of sticks or hands on various surfaces, then came the wind instruments, firstly the aboriginal didgeridoo, which was fashioned from hollowed out wood from a tree eaten out naturally by termites, dating back over 40,000 years.
